Meet the Instructor
Kalynda Burke (Conley)

Associate Teacher - B.A.T.D
Kalynda began Highland Dancing at age 6, in her home town of Comox, B.C. It was love at first 'fling'! After making a move to Ottawa in 1999 her passion for Highland dance grew as she began to perform and compete. She has been an active dancer and competitor for over 26 years!
Completing her examinations under the B.A.T.D, Kalynda was nominated for the Sadie Simpson Scholarship competition as one of a select few in Canada 4 times over.
She has always had an interest in competitive dance - working toward goals with drive and focus, while honing technique and performance skills have allowed her to grow as a champion dancer.
Aside from competition, Highland dance has afforded her many opportunities to travel for performances including 3 major international Tattoos in Edinburgh, Switzerland and Northern Ireland. She has had the honour of dancing for the Queen at Balmoral castle with the Sons of Scotland Pipe Band.
She looks forward to sharing her love of dance with her students and working with them to set and achieve their personal dancing goals!
